Who we are
Collide International Foundation for ADHD Autism (“Collide Foundation”, “we”, “us”) is a volunteer-run organization serving Collingwood and Southern Georgian Bay, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our programs, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the fair information principles of Canada’s privacy laws, including PIPEDA where it applies.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and run our programs:
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Donations: your name, contact details and gift amount, so we can thank you and issue receipts. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
- Programs and volunteering: information you choose to share with us when you join a program or apply to volunteer.
- Technical data: like most websites, our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your messages, deliver programs and support, send the newsletter you signed up for, process and receipt donations, keep the website secure, and meet our legal and reporting obligations. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Sensitive information
Our work involves ADHD, Autism and family relationships. Please share only what you are comfortable with. Anything you tell us about health, family circumstances or a young person is kept confidential, shared only with the volunteers or professionals directly helping you, and never used for marketing.
Young people
Many of the people we support are teens. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us personal information. We will only collect a young person’s information for program purposes and with appropriate consent.
Who we share it with
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, email and newsletter tools, and payment processor, and only for that purpose. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, where it is protected by contract but may be subject to local laws. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required for donation receipts and financial records, and then delete or anonymize it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent, or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in each email. To make a request, email us at Collide_Foundation@yahoo.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar storage to work properly. See our Cookie Policy for details.
